The dependence of ibuprofen on the functioning of the reproductive organs of young men was demonstrated. Changes occur in the hormonal economy, which is characteristic of middle-aged men. They mainly concern reduced fertility. Even short term consumption of a popular ingredient can reduce the quality of sperm and contribute to testicular dysfunction.
Studies on the influence of ibuprofen on sexual dysfunctions have been conducted and confirmed by the expert community. It has been demonstrated that the compound ibuprofen is likely to have an adverse effect on testes and sperm. Although the tests lasted 6 weeks, after several days the scientists confirmed these reports that during the treatment with ibuprofen primary hypergonadism had occurred. The disease manifested itself in decreased libido, decreased strength and muscle mass. Some patients showed symptoms of depression.
Surprisingly, the results of studies conducted in men who suffer from hypergonadism, a permanent defect of the testicle, which causes the abnormal functioning of hormones, turned out to be surprising. The tests showed that people with secondary hypergonadism began to experience symptoms of primary hypergonadism. In this case, the use of ibuprofen resulted in such side effects as reduced libido, reduced physical endurance, reduced mood and mental well-being.
Regular administration of ibuprofen is extremely dangerous, so it is reserved for occasional use of this painkiller. Ibuprofen is able to reduce potency in men and also affect the quality of semen.
The preparations containing the active substance ibuprofen in their composition include, inter alia Brufen, Nurofen, Ibufen, Ibum, Ibumax, Ibupar, Ibuprofen, Ibuprom, Iferin, Pediprofen, Kidofen, MIG for children.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that in developing countries young couples do not become parents for about 5 years of trying to have a child. Experts have come to the conclusion that analgesics taken by patients, which reduce fertility in young people, can become a cause of this matter. The decrease in potency is also the result of increasingly frequent antidepressants and antipsychotics.
The active substance ibuprofen, which is found in most painkillers for family planning, is therefore not recommended. Instead of this type of substance it is worth to choose other proven methods for increasing immunity or wellbeing. The pharmaceutical market has pain relievers that contain other compounds that do not cause such drastic side effects.
